Best Places for a Wedding in Vermont

We know that your wedding location is important to you, so we have come up with the best venues Vermont has to offer. Keep in mind that some of these venues will not be cheap; however, others will be able to make anyone happy.

Alright, now that we’ve got you all warmed up, let’s dive into the beautiful and unique features Vermont has to offer you.

An Affair By the Lake

There’s no question that Vermont has a lake or two, but if you’re looking for something extraordinary – look to further than ‘An Affair By the Lake.’ It’s a beautiful Victorian-inspired venue with a traditional feel that is unparalleled int he world of wedding venues. I mean, if you’re trying to have yourself a classic ‘kiss-the-bride’ kind of wedding, you can do that. However, if you’re looking for something a little more modern, there’s still hope.

This venue can be reorganized in any way you see fit, so if you’re still interested in a traditional ceremony with a little flare are the reception, this is the place.

Due to its lovely mountainous background, this lakeside treat is great for photos at virtually any time of the year – just don’t get caught in the dead of winter – nobody wants to sit around for you to get married while their toes freeze off. However, if you go sometime during the Fall season, the trees surrounding the lake are brighter than a burning flame, so you know those pictures are going to pop.

Common Ground Center

Here’s one of the eco-friendly bride and groom – the Common Ground Center in Starksboro, Vermont. It’s one of the most beautiful (and inexpensive) wedding venues in all of Vermont. They do this special ceremony called an eco-wedding in which your guests are given the opportunity to stay overnight and camp out with the family.

It might seem strange at first, but having a whole tent-camp set up with labeled sleeping bags can be a lot of fun. And what better way to celebrate your sacred bond than to treat your family and friends to a day of outdoor fun?

The venue can sit over 200 people, and the tents can accommodate for over 130. That means you don’t have to leave anyone out of the loop when you’re sending out invitations. Just like a traditional wedding, the guests can be arranged around the camp to make for a better experience for everyone – kind of like seating people at a traditional wedding.

Grand Isle Lake House

The Grand Isle Lake House on the rim of Lake Champion is like something straight out of a Wes Anderson movie. You and your bride/groom will be shocked to discover that this venue rests on the same lake as our #1 spot. For some people, this can come to be quite a shock, since the surrounding scenery at Lake Champion can be so drab and unappealing to those of you who are looking for a little color in your ceremonies.

So if you want to feel like you’re on the set of Moonrise Kingdom, without all of the kidnappings, check out the Grand Isle Lake House. You’ll be glad you went with this venue as opposed to the less expensive counterpart form the other side of the lake.
