Forget those old, boring table markers & go vintage! Today's DIY project is a crafty vintage table marker featured in the gown section of our Fall/Winter 2011 issues of Vermont Vows & WellWed. All you need for this project is a mason jar, white flocking powder, shimmering baubles, jewels, glitter, vintage house numbers & small pieces of wood - which can all be found at your local craft store, vintage haunt or around your home.

When a mutual friend of Sylvia Limm and Eric Brown expressed interest in setting them up, both declined. Neither was going to be in Boston much longer: Eric was about to move to Los Angeles, and Sylvia was headed to New York. However, the pair couldn’t halt fate – soon after, they met for the first time despite their resistance and knew right away they were meant for each other. Two weeks later, they were living on opposite coasts. However, they couldn’t stay away for long. After nine months living apart, Sylvia joined Eric in California.

The couple dated throughout their time at Cornell, learning to aid and push each other through the obstacles they faced. “On late nights I spent sewing clothes for fashion shows, he would bring me soup and coffee.

Hans Jenny knew he was destined for the music industry from a young age. A musician from the age of nine, Hans began as a cello player before transitioning to the guitar as a teen. It wasn’t long before he laid the first groundwork for Best Bands (then Roadshow Entertainment) in the 1970s, booking bands for nightclubs and smaller concert venues. When the nightclubs started to decline in the 1980s, Best Bands truly found its niche, serving couples seeking hip, fun, and energetic bands for weddings and special events.

During May of 2005, Katherine was with her brother, Neil, at P.J. Clarke's on New York City’s Upper East Side. She and Matt caught each other’s eye, and when Neil stepped out to make a call, Matt didn't hesitate to sidle up to Katherine to introduce himself. It was clear right away that they had chemistry—so much so that Matt asked Katherine if he could take her to dinner that very evening. “I explained I would need to take a rain check because I was spending time with my brother. However, Matt wasn’t taking no for an answer,” says Katherine.
