My favorite thing about working with Spencer is the way he put everyone- parents, bridal party, friends and family at ease with his unobtrusive style. From the background he caught small, meaningful moments that may have otherwise slipped from our minds 10, 25 or 30 years from now. (Simple things like my bridesmaids taking off their stockings which ripped as they walked in heels up rocks and through mud to Killington Peak. Or me putting on my new-husband's jacket on to keep warm after our golf course ceremony.) All small, seemingly insignificant moments that I would never want to forget.

We had so much fun working with him before our wedding and that day itself. We look forward to working with him again as we put together our album.

We just got married at the Mountain Top Inn. Spencer is extremely talented and wonderful to work with. We knew we wanted candids and a few formals - and that's exactly what we got. Spencer was always at the right place at the right time. There are so many pics that were taken of moments I had no idea ever took place! Everyone that met him and everyone that looked at the photos have complemented him and his work. Spencer was personable, flexible, and professional. We had our 2 pups in the wedding and they loved Spencer! That was so important to us. Our pictures were available so quickly - even before we got back from our honeymoon! We recommend Spencer with all confidence in the world.

Spencer has our warmest, most heartfelt thanks and gratitude for his wonderful work as our 'elopement' photographer. He went above and beyond our expectations in all areas! He has an amazing eye for details and precious moments -- he truly captured the "story" of our special day. Also an excellent editorial eye ((noone could ever tell from our pictures that there was a large blue truck parked just outside the garden our ceremony location was in -- Spencer made sure it was out of every shot!))

Spencer is a true professional who brings a warmth and care to his work. He captured every meaningful detail we could have wished for. He made our wedding photo dreams into a beautiful realilty! And since we eloped (with only 6 guests), we now have plenty of beautiful images to share with the rest of our large family -- and I am sure they will feel transported and included by the lovely images.

I think that the greatest complement that I could pay to Spencer Leonard as a photojournalist is that during the ceremony and reception, I never saw him. I realize this may not sound positive, but seeing how wonderful the candid and action photos came out, we were very impressed. I truly appreciated that he wasn't in the way of our guests or us because it helped us have a relaxing and special day. Even my mother in law was impressed by the marvelous and brilliant photography. I would very highly recommend Spencer for any event!

I highly recommend hiring Spencer as your wedding photographer. When choosing our wedding photographer, it was important to me that we find someone who was not a "traditional" wedding photographer. I didn't want a photographer who was tied to the idea of emphasizing formals or staging cliche scenes. I knew I wanted someone with a photojournalist's eye, someone who could capture those moments in time that will bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye years down the road.

When working, Spencer seemed to never rest or take his eye off of whatever was happening around him. He dedicates himself to making sure your day is exactly how you want it to be and to ensuring that his photography will properly document the memories of the day. Even though the package I purchased did not specifically include an assistant, Spencer decided that due to the location of my reception - aboard the Northern Lights on Lake Champlain - that he would require assistance to properly light the boat. Also, since Spencer had free time in the morning due to less set-up requirements, he met me at my hair stylist's salon and began photographing there.

Spencer's dedication to his work and your day doesn't even necessarily begin the day of your event. Spencer took the time to enjoy a cruise on the Northern Lights with his family, not only to enjoy the luncheon with his family, but also to get a feel for the reception location. He also met with me a couple days before the wedding to walk around the church and discuss some of the big day's details. I'm sure that if I didn't live out of the state we would have met way before then!

After the wedding, it only took a couple days for our event to be posted to Spencer's blog. Everyone loved that! After the blog was up, it only took a couple more days for the photos to be released on his site. It was all available to us before the work week was over, which was amazing - and incredibly exciting!

Overall, Spencer did an absolutely amazing job documenting our wedding. He was a pleasure to work with and provided results of the highest quality. We have received so many compliments from our guests, as well as those who were not able to attend. I am just so happy knowing that we all have these beautiful photos to help remember such a joyful day. I know that I made the right choice in hiring Spencer and that his photography captured our wedding day in a way that few others could.
