| | Wedding in VT other than in Fall or Winter | | My fiance and I love to visit Vermont. He is from Boston and I am from Canada. We want to hold our wedding in Vermont but I am having such a difficult time trying to figure out a spring or summer date for our wedding. I know that there can never be any guarantees but I wish I was a bit more familiar with the folliage and blooms at different times of year. I am leaning towards May 19th but wondering if it may still be a little cold. There should be tulips and daffodils out but wondering if my bridesmaids and I will still need some kind of light sweater to cover our sphagetti strapped shoulders. July seems like it could be too hot. Humm maybe June? I've looked at weather averages but still not sure. Any suggestions from anyone that understands the weather in Vermont? |

| | Re: Wedding in VT other than in Fall or Winter | | I have lived in Vermont for many years and have found that May is sometimes still very cool and often rainy. Early June is usually warm and tulips and daffodils are still in bloom. July may be a bit warmer, but is most pleasant, only occasionally hot (80's). End of July is nice and there are lots of pretty wild flowers and varieties in bloom. Hope this helps! |

| | Re: Wedding in VT other than in Fall or Winter | | I grew up in VT and had my wedding here last August. May can be a bit difficult to predict- it tends to be rainy and sometimes cold- June is usually a good deal warmer, and certainly be sunnier. However, lately our summers have been coming earlier. Late May might be okay this year, but early June would be a better bet. I'll hope for sun in May for you though!
