| | Skinner barn and others | | Hi-
Does anyone have any experience w/ the Skinner Barn? It seems like a less expensive option than Round Barn but I haven't seen it in person and am curious. |

| | Re: Skinner barn and others | | although i haven't seen the skinner barn i did talk to the man who runs it when i was looking for barns and he is very nice, however the skinner barn is in a residential neighborhood and has very strict guidelines. are you sold on waitsfield? |

| | Re: Skinner barn and others | | skinner barn requires a lot of do it yourself - you need to be ready and willing to put in a lot of time to rent chairs, lights, staff - and together, it can all add up to be more expensive than you'd expect.
the guy who owns skinner barn is great, but marylynne is right on the strict town ordinances. it also only seats about 140. |

| | Re: Skinner barn and others | | I'm not sure if you are still looking for a venue, but my husband and I just had our wedding at the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol and hosted much of the reception in their barn and the night was magical. The food was catered by their restaurant (Mary's) and people couldn't stop raving about everything the entire night. Let me know if you want to know more, but in hindsight, I'm so glad we went with a place that was just one stop shopping. So much less work! |
