Hans Jenny knew he was destined for the music industry from a young age. A musician from the age of nine, Hans began as a cello player before transitioning to the guitar as a teen. It wasn’t long before he laid the first groundwork for Best Bands (then Roadshow Entertainment) in the 1970s, booking bands for nightclubs and smaller concert venues. When the nightclubs started to decline in the 1980s, Best Bands truly found its niche, serving couples seeking hip, fun, and energetic bands for weddings and special events. It isn’t a surprise that Best Bands has flourished in recent decades.
As Hans says, “A great band is truly one of the most critical elements of a wedding — music brings people together and creates an awesome wedding celebration.” As the band responsible for the largest block of time at a wedding, the bride and groom shouldn’t overlook its importance. Successfully booking musical talent for the last 35 years, Hans was definitely correct in his childhood prediction: he was destined to be involved in the music industry, indeed.
