DIY Idea & Tin Can Images: 100 Layer Cake
DIY Tin Can Table Numbers is a creative and eco-friendly way to recycle old cans into fabulous wedding décor. In addition, these cute numbers for your tables can act as candleholders as well. It’s just another way to add extra shine to the table and your special wedding reception. This is also a great way to get your crafty and handy groom involved in the wedding preparations!
All you need is tin cans, a drill, spray paint (be sure it fits with your color palette!), tape, candles, a ruler, colored paper, spray mount, an exacto knife cutting mat and number stencils.
Step one: Spray each can with your desired spray paint color. You may need to apply two to three coats of paint. Step two: Once your cans are dry, wrap your number stencil around the tin cans. Step three: Drill the outline of the number, and then work your way in. The more holes you apply, the more light the candles will give off. Step four: Insert colored paper into the can, on the opposite side as the number and trim the paper so it’s the exact size. Step five. Spray-mount the trimmed paper inside your can to hold it in place. Now your table numbers are done! Simply pop in your candle and voilá! After five simple steps your eco-chic wedding project is complete.
