This adorable paint swatch chandelier from Hey Gorgeous blog is perfect for the DIY bride. The color combinations can be customized to perfectly match any palette. This project uses LOTS of paint swatches, so may require several trips to the store, but otherwise uses materials you might already have at home. Try using a different paper punch to match the theme of your wedding, or patterned scrapbook paper for more inspiration.

Surrounded by their friends and family, Sara & Gregg tied the knot at the Wildflower Inn--a family oriented Inn located in Lydonville, Vermont. Having visited the venue prior to her wedding day, Sara knew the property well and decided on her color palette early. "Once we decided to have our wedding in July, I knew I wanted pops of orange against the bright green hills of the Wildflower Inn. One of the first things I did was pick the perfect shade of orange for the bridesmaids’ dresses, and everything fell into place from there," Sara said.

Christine&JohnVT.jpg

Christina & John wanted a wedding that reflected their personalities, heritage and unique love for each other. The couple chose blue-and-white Tartan ribbons as part of their decor, as a nod to their Scotish ancestry; they personalized their favors (chocolates from Seattle's Best - Christina's hometown) with chips embalzoned with their names; and they made sure to steal a private moment with their photographer to get some of their favorite moments on film.

parasols.jpg

Parasols are the ideal of vintage romanticism. They remind me of scenes straight out of a Vuillard painting, but manage to maintain a modern feeling to them at the same time. Parasols will give your wedding a charming and playful feeling that will photograph timelessly. Use them as decoration, as wedding favors for your guests, or as your perfect accessory to your wedding gown.

alex & josh 8.30.jpg

Alex and Josh’s wedding at the Hildene is classy and inspiring! The deep summery feel is accomplished by two things: gorgeous arrangements from Flowers by Cara and, of course, Alex’s impeccable taste. “Knowing how often I change my favorite colors and styles, I never wanted to look back and wonder what I was thinking! Navy is such a classic color and I mixed it up by adding modern accents, splashes of lime green, and fun stripes,” says the bride. Photos seen here are compliments of the lovely Polis Photography.

Shade of Grey Template.jpg

Grey may not strike many as the first choice for a wedding color scheme, but in truth it can be just as appealing as any other more colorful scheme. Use several shades of grey to create an interesting scheme in itself, and even experiment with adding pops of color in for definition. Grey can look radiant in anything from bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers and jewelry, to cakes, table settings, and wedding favors. Plan your wedding (in any season) with shades of grey in mind, and it is sure to be extraordinary.
