The choice of a Vermont wedding was hardly unexpected for New England-raised Katie and Zach St. Amand-- it is their favorite place on earth-- but their choice of Boyden Farm, a property on the banks of the Lamoille River is particularly fitting, given the meaning the river holds for the couple. Katie explains, "As adults we wait all year to travel up each spring and summer to fish on the Lamoille River, camp, and listen to the mountain air.

This is enough to make at least a 40 foot garland!

-Lots and lots of scraps in at least 10 different patterns. This would be a great use of fat quarters and it's also a fun and effective way to whittle away at your stash! You can get at least 6 feet of garland for every 1/4 yard (or fat quarter) of fabric!

-1 spool Gutermann Invisible thread

This summer's very berry combinations give new meaning to pick-your-own. A striking combination of pinks and reds reminiscent of childhood trips to the strawberry farm. Celebrate with summer's bold and vivid colors for a cheerful, fun effect that will leave guests craving the season's sweet fruits. A Sweet Bunch - We traveled to Maine and met with some amazing wedding professionals to create our vibrant strawberry color palette.

Did you know that the average American wedding produces 800 pounds of garbage?

Emily Anderson, author of Eco-Chic Weddings, encourage brides to think about "the repurposeful wedding;" seeing how many things from your wedding can be used again. If you're buying fabric for tables or other decor, think about colors and patterns you can use in your home later, refashioned as curtains or pillowcases, for example.

Think decadent caramel and delicious toppings like butterscotch chips, chopped nuts, and toasted coconut to top off the good times! If setting up a candy apple bar sounds a little too "labor intensive" - yet you want your guests to take home a "taste" of Fall - check out Hammond's Candies. Since 1920 they have been making tempting treats with true craftsman ship.
